Summary:

This seminar aims to immerse participants in the temporal frontiers of art, inaugurating a multidisciplinary exploration of the avant-garde and experimentations that have redefined the temporal narrative in various artistic expressions, starting from the field of sound art and expanding towards other art forms. The research, designed to bring together different approaches and perspectives, seeks to unravel the temporal complexities that characterize contemporary art.

The event is conceived as a multidisciplinary investigation that aims to gather diverse approaches and perspectives on how time is conceived, manipulated, expressed, and perceived in the contemporary artistic field. It delves into how artists seek to challenge established temporal conventions and how these new forms of temporal articulation not only transform aesthetic experiences but also influence our understanding of time and narrative in the cultural context of current art.

The seminar seeks to draw connections and discover points of convergence between different forms of artistic expression. The day will be structured around thematic sessions that will range from the sensory exploration of time in sound art to the various temporal manifestations in sound art, visual arts, dance, film, and literature. Each session will feature prominent speakers, experts in their respective fields, who will share their knowledge and experiences in the articulation of temporal discourse in art.

Highlighting the importance of the experiential component, the seminar will include listening sessions of sound art on an octaphonic device. This innovative experience will allow participants to immerse themselves in compositions that challenge temporal conventions, exploring how spatialized listening can transform our perception of time in the artistic realm.

Speakers, selected for their experience and significant contributions to their respective fields, will offer a variety of perspectives ranging from the sensory exploration of time in sound art to experimental temporal narratives in other disciplines. Through this multidisciplinary dialogue, we aim to unravel the temporal complexities that define and challenge our understanding of contemporary art.

This event aims not only to enrich our understanding of time in art but also to foster creative dialogue between seemingly divergent disciplines. By bringing together experts and enthusiasts from different fields, we seek to open a space for reflection and discovery, where new forms of temporal articulation in art can inspire new perspectives and interdisciplinary collaborations.
